[Egyptian Myth]

Based on the +Anima manga. :3 But you don't have to have read it to roleplay. o-o

This world is mildly primitive; nothing high-tech, no electricity, planes, etc. The dominant species is of course human, but there is also a very rare development in race. +Anima are people that also have some characteristics of an animal, just one. Some have physical traits, others have personality traits, and still others have both. On occasion a +anima will completely give in to his/her inner animal and be lost to its form and/or instincts. +Anima with physical traits can usually control this at will; for example, a fish +anima can change his/her legs to a tail and fin, and vice versa.
There are two ways someone can become a +anima. The most common is through a critical situation during childhood; the animal they gain the characteristics of often depends on the circumstances. For example, if a child were falling from a lethal height they might sprout wings and become a bird +anima. Otherwise, a much smaller percentage of +anima occur through heredity.
+Anima, however, are most often hated, feared, and shunned by society, so most either try to keep their abilities secret or live alone, hating what they are. All +anima have a black tattoo-like marking somewhere on them that identifies them as a +anima; often times it relates to what animal they have the traits of, but sometimes it's just random too.

- Violence, swearing, and romance is allowed but not to extremes.
- There's no particular plot, don't try to make one.
- You don't have to be +anima! It'd be cool to have a few human charries too.
- If you're +anima, you can only have the traits of ONE animal.
- Up to two charries per person.

Name: Ree
Gender: Female
Age: 17
+Anima?: Red fox ; Can have the ears, tail, claws, teeth, hindpaws, and eyes. Always has the senses and speed.
Marking & Location: Two small pawprints on her nape.
Appearance: White hair, semi-long and straight in front, bangs mostly coming down over the left side of her face. The back is short and messy. Eyes are golden yellow with slit pupils; she can have normal brown eyes, but usually keeps her fox eyes despite prejudice. Face isn't particularly head-turning, but a degree of beauty is notable. Figure is slender; not skinny, not obese, with just hints of muscle. Wears a loose, olive green T-shirt, black capris, no shoes, and a red and blue designed choker with a black pendant attatched. Her fox fur is a slightly dark red with some tints of black. Tips of her fox ears are black, tip of her tail is white. Hindpaws are black. Nails, when hardened and pointed into claws, are black.
Other: Girlfriend of Syde.

Name: Syde ( everyone stfu and deal with it. D:< )

+Anima?: Black wolf ; Has the senses, speed, and strength. Can have the teeth, and fully change into a wolf.
Marking & Location: Two narrow, eye-like shapes on his upper right back.
Appearance: Wavy, black-brown hair almost shoulder-length. Pale skin. Black-brown eyes the same shade as his hair, if not slightly darker. Face is amazingly beautiful, especially his eyes. Figure is slender; not obese, not skinny, with mild masculine muscle. Wears a loose, black T-shirt and ragged, light blue jeans with holes in the knees. Full wolf form has scruffy, completely black fur and the same eyes.
Other: Boyfriend of Ree.

[Lunar Tragedy]

Name: Akina
Gender: Female
Age: 17
+Anima?: Russian Blue Cat; can gain any and all characteristics of the animal including complete transformation into it. Never stops having the heightened senses of hearing and smelling, but the sight does fade.
Marking & Location: 3 straight black lines, maybe an inch in length on the outside of her upper left thigh.
Appearance: (Normally) Straight black-blue hair to her hips, dark blue eyes, pale skin. Four foot eight, skinny.Wears a long-sleeved black shirt and a skirt just past her knees. has a pair of worn black boots beneath that go up to where the skirt ended.
(Cat) It's a cat of varying weight and medium size, but her particuliar form is just a medium greyish-blue cat with yellow eyes and a long, slender tail. The fur is soft and just a little long.

Gender: Male
Age: 19
+Anima?: No, human.
Appearance: Black hair just past his shoulders. sky blue eyes. Skin is an olive sort of tan and he's a little less than six foot with the build of an average guy. Wears dark blue jeans and a black t-shirt, both a little loose-fitting but not overly so. Usually prefers to go without shoes, but will occasionally put on plain black tennis shoes.

HERE I AM! It took me forever to think of some neato, original-ish characters. xDD

Name: Marly
Gender: Female
Age: Seventeen
+Anima?: Fish-mermaid THING. The lower part of her body can turn into a fishy tail with light purple scales that also have a blue-ish sheen. She only has need for gills when she's underwater for long periods of time, so usually they never appear. She also gets dehydrated easily, so she constantly carries around a bottle of water.
Marking & Location(if +anima): Has two gill like slits on each side of her neck, though her hair hides them.
Appearance: Pale and delicate looking, she has blonde hair reaches mid back and begins curling a few inches before the end and pale blue eyes. She stands at about 5'4'' with a slender frame. She tends to wear simple, light colored clothing. For now, she has settled on a white sundress.
Other(optional): Twin sister of Emery.

Name: Emery
Gender: Male
Age: Seventeen
+Anima?: Black mamba snake. Can turn into a full snake at will if he wants, but usually he just like to turn his lower body into the snake tail to mimic his sister. His scales are a gray color and when fully transformed, the inside of his mouth is completely black. When partially or fully transformed, he can move faster than most black mamba's.. He also has a heightened sense of hearing and sight. At times, his pupils can be seen as slits and his tongue can be long and forked, unlike most humans. He also has sharper fangs than most, concealing a deadly poison that can kill a human within twenty minutes if only bitten once.
Marking & Location (if +anima): On his upper arm, he has a few scale like markings covering some of his shoulder.
Appearance: Much like his sister, Marly, he is pale but unlike her, he has black hair and brownish-red eyes, an after-affect from his +Anima (meaning, he was once blonde and blue eyed xD i dunno if that can really happen, but let's just roll with that). He usually wears a pair of jeans and a black shirt with black shoes as well.
Other: :'D Twin brother of Marly.

Ree and Syde walked side by side in the dusty little village of Muunket, a town on the edge of a forest which was to their east, and a small desert to their west. A small river flowed out from the forest that ended in a small waterfall and spring which gave the village its source of fresh water. Little hut-like houses bordered the town, its innards made of the market and a meeting center. Presently Ree and Syde were in the market with empty stomaches.
"Apples... weird berries... freaky spiky berry things...." Ree said in monotone as she eyed each stand they passed. She was getting a few stares, but not due to her eyes; they were quite unnoticeable unless studied, actually. Her white hair was what caught most attention. Obviously such a lack of pigment in such youthful hair was rather odd, and those who had seen +anima before found it suspicious. But Ree's unpigmented hair was not due to her +anima.
Syde looked at the people rather than the stands. Despite the fact the wavy bangs of his messy hair were always concealing his eyes, you could somehow sense where his gaze was. It could be felt too; it was a rather intense stare whether he meant it to be or not. Most were mildly creeped out by him.

"Blueberries?" Ree said questioningly, turning to Syde with hopeful golden eyes. He shrugged. Ree's eyes narrowed. "Well, I'm only getting some if you'll eat them with me. I want something we'll both have so one of us isn't eating obnoxiously in front of the other." Behind his hair Syde's eyes rolled. Ree sighed. "Fine, we'll keep looking." Had her fox ears been showing, they would've flattened irritatedly.

+Anima?: Domestic cat, no definite breed; Can have the ears, tail, claws, teeth, and eyes, prolonged endurance, hearing, jump height and sight are maintained.
Marking & Location: a long thin stripe across his right cheek stopping at the bridge of his nose.
Appearance: Black hair, A-line cut extremely short in the back. Bangs brushed forward and covering half of his face. Eyes are a dark coffee brown, round and innocent. Face and figure are small, resembling a doll. He wears a ratty tan shirt layered over a white one, olive brown shorts and wooden sandals resembling Geta. Fur on tail is a light cloud grey with the exception of a single black band near the tip. Ears are black, but a slightly lighter shade than his hair.


Furious shouts and cries exploded from a small crowd at one end of the marketplace. A small figure shoved its way out of the crowd and began to flee from it, a small blur to slow eyes. By the time the crowd had figured out where he had vanished to, he was already yards away sprinting a jagged path through the stands, jumping over carts, and dodging the pockets of confused people. The crowd was still yelling and gave chase for a while, tossing stones, unable to keep up, soon giving up except for a man who was red in the face screaming obscenities and tossing whatever he could get hands on, until he was nothing but a panting mess who could barely shake his fist. Adrian peeked from behind an empty stand, a grin on his face. He loved messing with that guy, you would think he would've learned not to place things where they could be easily taken. He placed the stolen bag in a clay rain jar, not caring what the bag contained. He sighed, and laid in the dirt, the amusement gone. Messing with that guy was fun, but horribly short-lived, and it seemed to be losing its excitement. Adrian sat up and peeked at the people going by, how boring...
