More Than This

STORY
Vampires were usually viewed as myths by the modern world - until strange incidents started happening, until the police and then the national government began finding it increasingly difficult to make excuses for these attempted and comitted murders. Suddenly vampires weren't so mythical anymore. Little villages, then small towns, then even cities started to become populated by these creatures of the night.

Humans' opinion of them widely varied, as did the way they behaved and viewed themselves. Some humans, particularly the relgious ones, immidiately saw them as minions of the devil, many taking up hunting them. Others viewed them scientifically, desiring to study them; where they came from, their various abilities, how age effected them, what legends about them were true... And still others made up their minds the creatures weren't so bad at heart, and that they could control themselves like civilized beings if they wanted to.
Vampires, however, had an equal mix of beliefs. Some took to full vampire ways, hunting and eating humans like they felt; a few went to such extremes as hardly even using language and merely communicated through the hisses and growls and noises of vampires. Others hated themselves, some also going extremes and killing themselves. Again, others fought it in less radical ways, eating only when they really had to or only feeding on animals.

A typical city in the U.S., Ravenwing City, Illinois, has been mostly overrun with vampires; about a mere 20% being human now. There's a nationally-huge vampire syndicate called the Dandies that are steadily taking over the 50 States, and a good many of them thrive in Ravenwing. However, there are groups of vampires spread out through the states that rebel against the Dandies, as they're steadily opressing America. One of these groups is the Clandestine Gang of Ravenwing City, and they're of considerable size despite most of their members not being of as great of power as the Dandies.

THE DANDIES
The Dandies believe vampires should take to their roots, eating both when they wish and when is necessary, using their powers as they see fit. Most develop a Lolita fashion style, a style once most popular in Japan that consists in wearing Victorian or children's Victorian style clothing, often with a dark or Gothic feel. For the most part, they're characterized by white bowler hats or black top hats. Their leader is a vampire known only as William(played by William Beckett in the music video). Their motto is "We're Meant For More Than This", as they believe humans have been opressing of vampires and in some cases abusive; and this is partially true.

CLANDESTINE
The Clandestine gang, although agreeing humans are often misunderstanding, are against the Dandies for being extremists. Their opinions are somewhat varied; some promote total peace between humans and vampires, others wish to only stop the Dandies to protect the nation, and those who hate what they are blame the Dandies for making them that way in the belief William started the new arousal of vampires. Whether he did or not is unknown. Their symbol is a bat, and they make this sign with their hands to greet each other on occasion(You can catch this in the video if you look). They have no motto, nor a clear leader, but work mostly as a group despite varying opinions/beliefs.

-Violence, swearing, and romance is allowed. Only swearing can't go to extremes.
-Two characters per person, although you can't have two Dandies, two Clandestines, or two humans; each charrie must be of a different gang or species. William is not a major character unless we get so far, but I will be roleplaying him.
-New vampires are made by exchanging blood; this can be done either by cutting both vampire and human and having the wounds pressed together and held there for an hour, or french kissing, biting the lips or tongue of human and vampire and doing that for twenty minutes. You can only Turn a human character with permisson.
-Killing is only allowed by permission of victim.

Age: Almost as old as William; exact age unknown. Appears 16.
Group: Dandy
Weapon(s): Black, elbow-length finger-less gloves that have three long, metal, slasher-style claws extending over the fingers. These can be summoned to his hands or whisked off like water.

Eyes are black-brown. In picture seen in casual wear. Sometimes wears Dandy uniform(as seen in video), sometimes wears the same black suit and pants but with the top hat seen in picture and a red tie.
Feeds: On humans; not usually to kill, but either to the point of unconsciousness or to make another vampire. Will eat anything when starved.
Opinion on Vampires, Humans, and Vampire-Human Relationship: Basic Dandy beliefs; including the idea vampires are superior to humans but humans are still necessary as part of the food chain.
Other: Rumored to be close with William, Turned by him. Has a pet raven he seems to be able to talk to.

Group: Rogue, although often looked at as Dandy because of beliefs/lifestyle.
Weapon(s): Only a dagger which he rarely uses; most don't even notice he has this.

Feeds: Anything, even his own kind at times. If he has -any- sanity, it's not noticable. Rumored he fell in love with a girl once that tried to make him civilized again, and although coming close to succeeding he lost control and ate her.
Opinion on Vampires, Humans, and Vampire-Human Relationship: Unknown.
Other: Turned by Syde, and acts very submissive - almost slave-like - towards him, although those Turned are not bound to whoever Turned them.

Opinion on Vampires: Some of them are farts, but others are decent.
Other(Optional): She often judges people first by appearance, but leaves that first conclusion open to change after she speaks to them. In other words, she gives them a chance to prove her first assumptions wrong.

Gender: Female
Age: Unknown; appears 20-something.
Group: Dandy
Weapon(s): She wears 2 knives - one sheathed inside each boot - and her hair is often held up with chop sticks that are sharpened to a deadly point. She has several swords and a gun in her home, but doesn't often carry them.
Appearance: She's Asian with small, red eyes and straight black hair that extends to her upper thigh when loose. She has pale, smooth skin and is 5'6" with an athletic build.
Feeds: On humans, almost exclusively though she prefers not to kill because that seems impractical to her. She's lived long enough to recognize the bad energy around humans and tends to feed mostly from criminals.
Opinion on Vampires, Humans, and Vampire-Human Relationship: Some humans are okay by her to an extent - those that she knows to have done no wrong to her kind and have proven themselves to her from a young age, which has actually only happened to her once. Their existance is necessary for sustinence of her kind, and she has even been known to protect some human women in peril. Of course, she expects these to continue the human race and their attackers usually end up as meals. She finds humans to generally be an abuse of life and an overall ignorant bunch. Instead of the "innocent until proven guilty" concept, her outlook on humans is pretty much the opposite. She's suspicious of them all and regards them as little more than a source of food and annoyance most of the time.
