A little girl walked through the small city park, clutching a white rabbit in a small yellow sun dress. Tears were streaming down her round face, she rubbed her eyes and whimpered as she walked, completely lost. The Light blue ribbons in her soft black hair were undone, her blue dress was torn and frayed, she had been lost for a while, now. She hid from police, taking cover behind bushes and trees when they passed, and she had slept under the benches. Her mommy promised she'd come back for her, but it had been such a long time, maybe her mommy had forgotten her... She refused to believe her mommy would do that, her mommy loved her. She would come back, she HAD to.
The little girl looked up at the moon, the buildings and smog blocking the stars, cluttering the sky. It was late, and dark, The little girl rubbed her face once more, there was no use for crying, not now. She sat on a bench and stared at the streets, very few cars went by, it was very late. She clutched the rabbit closer, feeling for the silver locket she had carefully placed around its neck, it was on rather tightly, she wouldn't forgive herself if she ever lost it. She slumped forward, and stared down at her once shiny-black shoes. She remembered when she first got them, she was so happy, mommy was happy, too. Then mommy got sour, and mean. They day mommy told the girl to stay at the park, mommy had dressed her up, Carefully did her hair, making perfect ribbon-bows, letting her wear her favorite blue dress and shiny black shoes. Mommy even let bunny come, mommy never let bunny come before. Then mommy told her to stay here, and mommy hasn't come back since. The girl shuddered, she was so cold. She crawled uner the bench and curled up. She couldn't afford to sleep, the police would come and take her away, and mommy would never find her again...Never again would she see mommy. The girl sighed and nestled bunny, her eyes getting heavy, her body even heavier...just for a little while...
