( x_x Tier you buttface, you went out of turn. It goes Nancy, me, you. Jeeze now we're all screwed up. But dun delete your post. Bluh.)
Ree couldn't help but choke on her laughter at Tier's racist attitude. She didn't care for humans much herself, but hey, if they needed help and seemed alright and she wasn't doing anything, why not? "Sorry for Tier's attitude, he doesn't like humans much." She informed Nancy as she finished up cleaning and then bandaging her major wounds.
She had noticed the girl staring at Sal and wondered if she had seen, but decided it didn't matter and that if questioned later she would simply inform Nancy she had been delusional. /Damn Saint Dane, exposing himself like that../ She grumbled in her thoughts. /I heard that./ Sal snapped back telepathically, his corvid self glancing at her. Ree scoffed out loud, slightly more than under her breath. But most knew she tended to talk to people telepathically a lot, so spontaneous gestures like this were common with her.

Nancy glared at the Sprite, known as Tier. She wasn't much in the mood of being made fun of. She ached and the pain stifened her sense of balance. She spoke coldly to the Sprite, "I am not stupid at all. I am extremely intelligent, and if you did not know, which I wouldn't expect a small Sprite like you to know, I am on a mission and I did not create such ghastly things as a cellar. That was invented by the humans. I am not human, nor am I anyone you would recognise to know." Nancy smiled cruelly at the Sprite. She was not to tell who she was except for to the person she was sent to protect, which would be kept a secret for the time.
Turning to Ree, she sighed. "How are my bruises doing? Not to well, I imagine. Well it makes no difference in my magic. If only I wasn't immune to human made objects. Well, so much for those cellar things. Somebody is trying to lead me off track and I don't like it." Malice spread across her face and she tried to devise a plan to rid herself of the distractions that only weakened her.

(( xD We take turns? What is this, the line to the pencil sharpener?! Ok! Ok! Just tryin to keep active thats all..))
Tiers temper rose a little at the "small" comment but he quickly calmed, not wanting her to have the satisfaction of getting on his nerves. He rose and walked toward her, running his hands through his hair as he walked. Tier stopped when he was right beside her and looked up into her eyes.
"OK, listen here Mystery...."Thing" If someone wanted you dead, don't you think you would have at least seen them? I mean, they'd have to have a motive at least if they trapped you in a cellar. I know if I set a trap such as that, I would've left you trapped for a while but returned soon to finish you off since your severely weakened. Maybe they weren't trying to kill you...but perhaps stalling you? Maybe it was their plan that you would live but wouldn't reach something your after......Where exactly were you headed?" He looked deep into the females eyes, trying to dig up some secret, a message, anything that could explain what happened.

Ree's eyes narrowed. She didn't like that it seemed Nancy already had an attitude. She should understand that Tier just doesn't like humans. "You smell human." She said, frowning. ".. But in any case, Tier's got a point. I have experience with people being after me," Sal cawed quietly, as if laughing. ".. and if someone intentionally trapped you in that cellar somehow they were most likely stalling you so they could get something done without interference, or stalling you from whatever you had set out to do." Sal shook himself slightly, then beginning to preen himself casually.

Nancy glared at the 2 and spoke softly. "I may smell human, I may act human, but..." She cut off, then pulled up one of her cut sleeves and showed an inky rune on her shoulder, "Do you know what this is?" Nancy smiled and then continued.
"It is my job to protect. I am trying to help someone here and I will need help to do so. The person who put me in the cellar most likely was trying to stop me, it is my job to find out who. Do you understand? Those runes help me survive, as they are all I have to fight the human inaccuracies. Now, will you help me?" Nancy shook her head, disgusted at the small amount of knowledge everyone believed they knew about her culture. It made her sick. She waited for a reply.

Tier backed away from the female. Growing up as a sprite you were taught about several things to watch for and what to do in case of danger and how to do it. Runes weren't on the list but then again no one mentioned them. As he backed away his eyes darted from her shoulder to Ree and back, wondering if helping this girl wasn't a mistake. He made up his mind and drew out one dagger, pointing it to her shoulder from a distance.
"Tell me then, what powers do these runes provide? Dark perhaps? Maybe we want to help you but we're not quite sure if the person your trying to save is.....friendly around unknown company? Or perhaps you yourself are leading us into a trap? Give me one good reason why we should help and I'll give you a Sprite Pledge of Loyalty. I wont speak for Ree in this case but if we can take down some humans along the way, you got yourself a Sprite"
Tier breathed in deep, hoping his speech would be enough to get this girls secrets out, all of them. He nervously awaited an answer, his dagger at the ready.

Nancy sighed heavily. "The runes help me in ways you wouldn't understand. Besides, I'm not supposed to reveal myself to those who have not the Sight. But, I was not born in the Clave, so I suppose the promise of silence no longer binds me. The runes are for my own personal safety. If I get hurt, I make the rune and they help me fight demons and such. It isn't difficult to use, though if I drew one on a human or a Sprite, they would die." Nancy smirked cunningly at the Sprite, then relaxed.
"Don't worry, I don't plan to harm you, Tier. The person I am looking for is in grave danger. She has what I need. The girl's name is Elizabeth Lyte, my mother's aunt. Without her, the world will suffer painfully. I suppose the man is one of the Thornes, my father's family. I will explain in detail later. Now, you must understand that I am bound to any promise I make because I have Clave Blood, so if I swear, I cannot break the swear for life." Nancy spoke softly to Tier and Ree. Noticing Ree had been quiet, she continued.
"Ree? Are you in? Do you trust me now? You will be in some danger, but I will probably be in about head deep danger. This is a favour I must do for my family. The first thing I need is to find Elizabeth and the man, I am guessing his name is Kevin Thorne. Tier? Are you in? No, there probably won't be too much bloodshed, but perhaps when we find Kevin, I might let you have dibs on the traitor. Deal?" Nancy was good at speaking and decided it would be for the best if she tried to please the duo and the bird. She waited for a reply anxiously.

[totally butts in] "You talk very loud, you know." The statement came from a small eight year old child sitting on one of the many dirty, wooden crates in the barn. He'd been sleeping underneath a stray pile of straw in the loft and was now, busily picking it from his hair.
He seemed very small for a boy his age. Maybe it was because of his long sleeved shirt that was much to big for anyone, or his muddy jeans that were also much too big. His dark hair covered his eyes, making his expression hard to read, and two small cat ears poked their way out from either side of his head, not erect, but lazily hanging there. His thin gray tail flicked back and fourth, he was horribly annoyed at the straw in his hair and at the people who woke him, but decided to be cross with the girl who spoke last. He stared down at the girl with a frown. "You talk too much, too."
