Ree frowned, giving Tier a leer as fearsome and chilling as a true demon's. "You should know how unwise it is to turn on me, Tier." She said to him, voice as predatory as her glare. Her ears swept forward aggressively, but briefly. She looked to Adrian, ears going back with distaste, her Traveler mind working out the language and translating it for her as if it were English. "Seien Sie nicht unhöflich." She told him authoratively.
She turned to Nancy, despite the girl being invisible, her ears also working out whatever tongue she had spoken and her noticing no difference; for her translator never told her what language was being spoken, it only informed her it was not her own. "It is useless to challenge someone in a tongue they cannot understand, you withering fool." The term 'withering' refering to how malnourished the girl was. She was liking this Nancy less and less, and not even fully going for the girl's proposition in the first place didn't help. She didn't like how distrustful she was, she didn't like all her tests to prove loyalty, she didn't like her attitude, and she didn't like people who had a superiority complex without good reason.
She didn't want to fight, only because she didn't want to endanger Tier or Adrian. If further conflict occured she would simply get them all out of there.. Well, perhaps not Tier, depending on his response. She looked to Sal, who was standing now, dark plumes risen in agitation, piercing eyes on Nancy. He was certainly ready for conflict. Maybe she'd leave him behind to deal with the girl if such conflict arose. The outcome of a fight between them didn't matter to her - it wasn't like she'd lose sleep over Sal's death. She almost laughed at the thought, if it weren't for the fact she doubted Sal would lose. Not that he'd finish Nancy off. He knew better.
Now she glanced at Adrian, who had rummaged around in his bag a little. She blinked at the coin in his hand. She didn't yet know all his tricks. "Tun Sie nicht dummes nichts, Adrian." She warned.

Tier sighed, shaking his head. Here he was, finding himself again in the middle of another battle that wasn't his own. On one side he had his friendship with Ree, on the other he had his promise and new acquaintance with Nancy. The whole situation made his mood follow the rest of his friends in the room. Tiers head was hung low, looking at the floor with some answer in mind. As he raised up, his fingers began to tingle as the anger channeled his electricity to their "armed" places. He pointed towards Ree first, his eyes flickering as he spoke.
"You should know how much of a sucker I am for human bloodshed Ree....And I promised Nancy I would aid her if she showed me she meant no harm. Now you may argue that she has it in for you and Adrian here but the way I look at it, shes defending her beliefs just as much as you defend yours. We all have different backgrounds and feelings here and this makes for one intense atmosphere in this barn. But if you look at us all, we all would die for a certain someone, am I correct? So that makes you Nancy, no different than Ree here, despite your abilities and races. Now if what Ive just said has angered you Nancy, you can take your runes and paint them all over Ree with out me and if its angered you Ree, you can take your kitty here and your bird and buy some feed when you turn in Nancy to whoevers trying to kill her, with out my help though.. But don't both of you dare try to put me in the middle of your tung turning squabbles!"
And with that Tier turned around and headed for the barn wall, blasting a whole through it with one flick. "I'll be outside, whether you all come out or only one side is up to you." Tier then jumped down, landing on the ground hard but quickly getting back up and began his wait.

Adrian walked the silver coin back and fourth across his hand, not happy with anything that was being said. He watched Tier as he left the barn, and looked at Ree. He frowned and mewed softly, tired of the conflict. He pocketed the coin and sat at the edge of the loft letting his feet dangle. He clasped his hands together and stared blankly into space. He was done being involved, but wanted to wait for Ree.

Ree frowned at Tier. "I understand you made a promise, Tier. I'm not saying you can't side with Nancy, I'm merely reminding you that you cannot fight me." She paused. ".. And win, anyway." She looked to Nancy. "It seems there is too much tension in my companions and I with you. I'm afraid none of us, besides Tier, are interested in your little quest. But in case with this information in mind you suddenly decide you can't tell us this and then let us go with our lives, I'll have you know you can trust I won't tell anyone, for nothing in this has at all struck my interest. And if I won't tell, I will ensure my friends don't tell." She glanced at Adrian to get the message across.

Nancy sighed, letting her glamour wear off. "Listen, Tier is right. I am merely trying to protect my race from any intruders. I don't think you understand what it is like to be sworn to secrecy and holding your entire race on your shoulders. I am only trying to protect those of whom I came from. Do not you understand? I am not evil, just not trusting around complete strangers who try to set me up. My goal is not to kill any of you, but the person who I came here to save Elizabeth from. Come with me if you like. If not, I only request you not to tell a living soul of who you saw." Nancy spoke, arms folded, nervously shaking.
"I am not weak. Nor am I about to die of my 'withering' body." She spoke a quick spell and drew a rune on her arm and whispered to it. Suddenly, Nancy began to grow, ever so slightly. Her weight now hit 115 pounds and food was back in her stomach. "There." Did they not understand? She could change her appearance rather quickly and fight a cruel battle, but all she cared about was Elizabeth and the object she contained.
"I will be leaving soon. Thank you all. Oh, did I mention that I can speak to the dead if I choose and even resurrect them for a maximum of 24 hours. I help them, find the person who hurt them, then talk to the person and make sure that the spirit in the body is happy and safe. Now, I must go. Tier, do you still want to come with me or would you rather stay with your dear friends? Ree? Adrian?" Nancy smiled and then waited for a reply. She'd be leaving soon and only needed to know qho was in and who would be going home.

Adrian had made himself comfortable up in the loft, head propped up, eyeing the scene below. He flicked his tail, listening to Nancy talk. Things were winding down, but he wasn't about to just let this go. The girl was overly paranoid, yes. Paranoia alone does NOT justify such an overreaction. Rather then taking action, (this would cause too much effort) he looked at Ree, hoping she hadn't forgotten about this.
After a bit he decided to stay quiet, and glare down at Nancy.

Ree frowned, ears going back and somewhat tuning out Nancy's rant. When she was finished the demon fox spoke up. ".. You talk too much." She first stated blatantly. "I don't think I'm interested in your little quest," she looked to Adrian. "And I don't think Adrian is either. Tier, you may keep to your vow if you wish, but the rest of us I think will be off. This place holds unpleasant memories, as convenient as it is." She stood, tail giving a swish as she did so.
She didn't understand why Nancy had to explain things over and over again, or why she always assumed so much so fast, or why she would spontaneously spew tidbits about her abilities. Ree didn't care much at all for show-offs, and only partially because the things shown off typically didn't impress her.
( MJ, if you're actually gonna go through with this quest you can make another thread for the roleplay. o-o Let everyone know when you think this one is done. Not that I'll delete it; I'll just lock it. )

Tier hung his head and sighed. So it would be a divided party. His speech had done little to change either side. Disappointed and saddened by the fact that he would have leave his friends, Tier crawled back into the barn to say his goodbyes. After he reached the top, he pulled a flute from his pocket and blew 2 notes out of it, then sliding it back into his pocket. Tier stood next to Nancy and began.
"Well Ree I cannot break my vow. I will aid Nancy on her quest until it is completed. I am going to miss your company for the time being and I only wish you the best of luck on whatever this world throws at your feet." As he spoke these words, a large bird flew into the barn and landed behind him. The creature had an assortment of harnesses and bag pouches on it. It was Tiers companion who was so cleverly named, Pyro the Phoenix. The Sprite saddled up onto the bird, nodding once to Ree before climbing up. Pyro awaited his orders from Tier to take off. "I'm ready when you are Nancy," said Tier as he hung his head, not to see Ree's expression.
