Nancy saw the horror that came of her haste actions. Talou was cut, Tier was even more upset, and Talou was just trying to make things right. Nancy almost began to break down and cry, but decided that blood should not mix with tears. She spoke, softly at first, then louder. "I need you two to know something. I am just another person in this world who has goals that she has set. It was wrong of me to expect you to follow me on this bloody trail, but if you are determined to do so, then thank you." She grabbed another dagger, slipping in into her clothing. Grateful that Talou's hand was no longer bleeding, Nancy smiled. "Talou is right, we should probably be going soon." Nancy walked carefully over to Tier, picking him up softly, she whispered, "I'm sorry. Please forgive me." Nancy then waited for Talou to lead the way, awaiting a response from her dear Tier.

Talou sighed soflty and led them out, concentrating on his steps, trying to distract himself from feeling bad about himself. He thought low of himself already, (for he wasn't very smart, and often broke things by accident) and it only took a single outburst to depress him. Talou tried to think of what he was good at, he could fight and fight well. He could start a fire. He could change shape easily enough. He went over a list in his head, searching for things to bring up his spirits. The sun outside was very bright compared to the dim fire on the inside of the cave, Talou squinted toward the sky, trying to determine which direction was which. "Waiting for orders, Miss." Talou turned slightly, expectantly. His eyes questioning, ready to please. "Which direction to go?" He pointed to the left, "That way be North"

Nancy shook her mind of the matter, looked expectantly at Tier, and replied, "Then let us head west, into the sunset." She waited for Tier to follow her, as she began her trail towards Talou. He would be navigating them, Nancy supposed. Tier was her little angel, however. She just gave direction, time, and purpose to this brave march that lie ahead of them. She was strong, but was she strong enough to complete such a horrific task and make it back alive?

Tier trudged behind Nancy, his mind elsewhere at the moment. The Sprite hadn't served a purpose for a very long time now and this journey was a wake up call to him. Tier was determined to help Nancy with her mission, he knew that much. This other feeling though he had inside him, it wasn't new, it wasn't old, but it hadn't been there for quite some time. The little Sprite looked up at Nancy and gave her a wink as they walked. He thought to himself as he did so, Could he really have feelings for someone so much different than himself?

Nancy smiled at the wink; she found it gratifying to know someone cared about her happiness. It gave her enough strength to face what she dreaded most. If she died out there, which everyone in Salibeth believed she would anyways, she would remember Tier for sure. If she died, it would be to protect him. She did not understand why she loved the little Sprite so much, but ever since she first laid eyes on him, she had fallen too deeply in love. How would their relationship work, though? How could she love someone so much, but have him be so entirely different than her own kind?
