He refuses to wear shoes, and is usually chewing on his headphone's cord, he almost constantly listens to classical music and his hobbies include staring out of his window at the birds. He is a loner and has no friends of his own.
~Posty Wosty~
Sam was sitting hunched up in a small ridged stool watching the birds fly this way and that with his light hazel eyes. The sudden power outage did not phase him, he continued to stare out of the window. The disc finished, he instantly pushed a button and the CD popped out and flew onto a pile of other discs. Sam gently placed the disc into the player and continued to listen to the music, drowning out the noise going on around the orphanage.

Mello jumped, startled by the quiet girl. He watched for a while as she picked up a few things. "We were just playing, it's not like we broke anything." He said quietly. He continued to straighten up the room, but his mind was stuck on poison for some reason.....Inhalation of high concentrations of cyanide causes a coma with seizures, apnea and cardiac arrest, with death following in a matter of minutes. He looked up at the clock. Arsenic poisoning kills by allosteric inhibition of essential metabolic enzymes, leading to death from multi-system organ failure. He rolled up his sleeves and stared off into space, then he closed his eyes and recited; "In about twenty minutes after exposure to strychnine, the body's muscles begin to spasm, starting with the head and neck. The spasms then spread to every muscle in the body, with nearly continuous convulsions, and get worse at the slightest stimulus. The...spasms...then..uhnh..." He started to mumble quietly and picked up the soccerball that had missed Matt's head and bounced off of the wall and rolled back into the room..." The... spasms get progressively worse...and the spine..."

The shade of the tree had grown very small and Matt paused his game looking sadly up at the sun. If he stayed out here he would surely burn, burnt red skin doesn't go with dark red hair. He turned the game off and walked to the opposite side of his tree. It might as well be his, he carved his initials into it, he had always hated it when people said "It don't got your NAME on it" and now it did, he smiled at the thought. The smile faded quickly, it was hot...really hot.. He didn't want to go back in through the front door, though. He peered up at the side of the house and spotted a figure sitting at an upstairs window. Matt looked back and fourth between the window and the tree, judging before climbing up. The window was slightly below the branch, so it would be easy to get in...as long as the branch was sturdy and didn't bend too much. Might make it...he thought... Might not... He quickly climbed his way up the tree and sat on a branch, still trying to judge the distance. He slowly made his way close to the window, tapping on it with a stick.

[ooc: woo! here I come as Near. Someone smack me if I do something wrong!]
Near lay on his stomach in the playroom, determined to finish the Lego set up even if the power had gone out for a brief moment. He didn't even have to think to know it was Mello and Matt. They were so annoying sometimes.. His brows furrowed in concentration as he set up the last building, wondering if some dumb toddler would come in after he was done and kick the wonderful structure down. It was probable.. and most likely possible.
Giving a small smile in triumph, Near sat up and began winding a white lock of hair around his finger as he glanced at the clock. It had taken him seven minutes to set this all up. A new record. And a damn good one at that. He stood and carefully sat himself in the middle, where he had made himself a little spot so he could get a better veiw, and began observing everything quietly.
After a few moments, he grabbed a plane and began flying it over the buildings, making small sound effects as he did so. And just as he was playing, some little monkey kid had the audacity to smash one of Near's largest Lego buildings before running away, laughing wildly.
Staring down at the fallen pieces, Near scowled slightly. What a nuisance.. He began rebuilding, though he had no idea why. Maybe he should go spend his time on a puzzle or something..

Nari eyed Mello warily before saying, "Depending on how bad the tremors are, damage could be inflicted on the spine.. Which could ultimately paralyze the victim. Or cause severe brain damage. But, that's rare.." she made a face at him.
"You're not planning to kill someone, are you?" she put her hands on her hips.

Sam silently glanced over at the sudden appearance of a stick wrapping against his window. He watched the stick's tapping for a time pondering why someone would take a innocent stick and use it as a mean for getting attention. Sam started to chew on his headphone's cord. He cautiously extended a foot and unlocked the window and opened it a smidge.

"Me? Kill someone? What for? There's nothing to gain from killing somebody..." Mello rolled his eyes to the ceiling, then back to Nari. "....What're you still doing here, anyways? I can pick up my mess myself." Even though Matt was really to blame for the mess, Mello took credit for it, there was no way Matt would clean up anything unless forced to. "Lazy bum." Mello muttered. He looked around the room and sighed....At least this room was clean, now. He shuffled into the hallway and left without another word. He looked up and peeked into a playroom. Near...He scowled. Stupid..Arrogant... He moved on without making a fuss, normally he would've burst in and messed with him a bit...right now, there were things he still had to clean up. I'll get him later... He smiled to himself. I wonder if Matt still has those balloons...

Nari rolled her eyes at Mello as well. She was tempted to tell him that he looked like a pyscho in the making, especially the way he HATED Near with that firey passion, but made no comment. Instead, she walked off right as he did, frowning as she went. People in this house were so freaking anti-social! No wonder why her voice was so raspy, she never used it. And if people weren't anti-social, they certainly never wanted to talk to her.
Finally, she returned back to the still empty library and plopped down, pulling her sketch book out of her tote bag and began sketching. This place was boring. She needed to get out. Soon.

After finishing the monument, Near rose and lost interest in his Lego's abruptly. He peeked out of the playroom as Mello walked past, wonder what he was doing. He twirled his hair around his finger once more, wondering if he should tag along with the older boy, but quickly decided against it. Why should he put himself in a situation with someone who so obviously dislikes him?

Matt hung upside down from the branch and opened the window all the way. He sat back up and stepped down carefully into the room. As soon as he was safely inside he looked at the boy whose room he had invaded. "Uhm...thanks." He gave a large grin at the boy. He walked to the door carefully poking his head into the hallway before turning back around. "say, uhm...You look familiar...maybe.." Matt really wasn't sure if the boy was listening at all. Well... He thought I s'pose it don't matter much.. He looked back into the hallway and stepped out quietly closing the door behind him. The guy didn't seem like he wanted to be bothered by 'some dummy' as Mello put it. He peeked down the stairs and watched Mello enter another room. He flattened himself against the wall, and waited a few minutes before retreating into the library. He peeked back down into the hallway for good measure and sighed with relief. Mello was cleaning up his mess, that meant he was either; A) Totally pissed or B) Just making himself busy. Matt was hoping Mello wasn't still mad, he held grudges for really little things, and it's always awkward not being able to talk to anyone. Matt closed his eyes and slumped over, nobody really came into the library during school break. The kids usually absorbed everything they learned during classes and never forgot it. Surely nobody would bother coming into the library today..Then again, Matt had a reputation for being completely oblivious.
