Sam blinked at the silver haired youth and watched his lips form the words "Something Wrong" He of course could not hear them because of the music blaring in to his ears, but he was very skilled in reading lips. He shook his head back and forth indicating a "No".

"The sun is out to kill everyone who dares to take a step outside, even at night, the moon is its evil accomplice." Matt grinned. "And you know, you can always snag a bunch of books a hoard them in your room so have something to do." He stared at Nari's face, and blinked slowly. "I'm sure you're good at something..." He said softly. "Well, obviously you must be good at reading...and if you weren't truly good at anything, you wouldn't live here, now would you?" Matt smiled, his nose wrinkling slightly.

Mello poked his head out of Matt's bedroom into the hall, Matt wasn't in his room, obviously. He walked into the hallway and stopped short, spotting Near and ...another kid by the stairs. He simply stood there and scowled, mostly to himself. He quickly turned and pretended that he didn't see either of them. He folded his arms and stared down at the end of the hallway, the window was slightly open. How stupid...

Near opened his mouth, about to say something, when he felt someone's eyes on his back. He turned slightly, seeing Mello, and smiled lightly before waving.
"Melloooo..."
[ooc: I imagine him like this little kid who constantly tags along and stuff]

"You think? I think the moon is really out to get the sun. Haven't you ever watched the sunset over an ocean? It's like he's bleeding all over the water," Nari laughed at herself. "Morbid but.." she gave a light shrug before gazing around at all the books.
"I guess so.." she trailed off, thinking about her last test scores. "But, everyone in here knows HOW to read well."

Sam looked over at the boy that the silver haired youth looked over at suddenly. He recognized this boy from his long hours staring outside. He had seen him chase the boy that crawled into his room all around the yard a couple of times, throwing random objects at each other.
Sam blinked down at his chewed up cord and silently spat it out, his soft gentle hazel eyes going back in forth between the blonde haired boy and the silver haired one.

Matt looked about the library. "Have you read all of the books in here?" He got to his feet and walked around touching the spines of the books as he passed them by. "Don't answer that, of course you haven't. There are at least three kids I know who've been hiding books in their rooms, and never bringing them back down here." He looked back over at Nari "If you cleared out Mello's room, I'm sure you'd find at least eighty books. He doesn't even really read them, he just flips thorugh." Matt walked back to Nari and suddenly got really close to her face, he studied her for a moment, then backed off. "I wish I could have a puppy.." He said after a short pause.

"I've read most of them," Nari replied honestly as she watched him. When he got close, she didn't bother to draw back, instead she got close to and touched her nose with his. She was strange..
"So get one!" she stated, pulling back suddenly. "We could go sneak out and find one at the pet store." she smirked.

Mello slowly turned at face Near, expression less than pleased. "What?" He snapped, arms still tightly crossed. "I'm busy, you know." He looked at the other boy. "And what are you staring at? it's rude, you know. I have to go downstairs, so move." Mello gave Near a slight shove as he passed him, and wandered back downstairs into the kitchen.
