His gaze patiently looked about the room as they meandered around the lobby aimlessly. "Oh.. Just a lot of places... Japan, England, Egypt, and here, mostly...." He replied casually, as if everyone went there all the time. 'Wander' was, most apparently now, an understatement. He took her sigh as a sign of tiredness. "... Would you like to sit back down?" He asked quietly. There was a man leaning against the wall leering at him none too subtely, but Syde didn't seem to give him any mind - unless he hadn't noticed him, which was unlikely. They had paused in their walk now as he questioned if she wanted to go back to their seats. They had roughly five minutes before the second half of the play began.

"I'm fine." Her attention was drawn to the man leaning against the wall, she frowned. She bit her lip displeased with the distraction. She looked back at Syde, and tried to keep the small conversation going "It must be nice being able to go wherever you please." She hummed softly, hugging Syde's arm closer, her eyes drifting off into space. She didn't particularly want to go and see the rest of the play, she only came tonight out of convenience and boredom. It was better than staying home, minding her aunt. She tried to get her cousin to come along, but he insisted he had better things to do than 'watch a few people prance around on stage and recite nonsense' She smiled softly and asked quietly, "Was there any particular reason why you came here?" Her eyes settled on his face, "Is there any reason why you stay?"

He nodded, so at her answer they resumed walking. He shrugged. "I guess." Still the man in the corner leered at him, and still he was paid no heed. Syde was quiet for a minute at her next questions, thinking. "... Not really." He said quietly, simply. ".. Again, not really. I don't usually have much reason to go anywhere in particular, or leave in the first place. Just a change of pace is good enough reason for me." He smiled lightly. Then he glanced at the clock. ".. We should probably get back to our seats soon.." He paused. ".. If you wish to see the rest of the show, anyway." He added, his smile still present.

Lily simply hummed quietly, she didn't really want to go back and watch the rest of the play. Her eyes rolled to the leering man, and she stopped humming to stare at him, visibly bothered. She frowned turning her head away, and watched a small group of people as they talked with each other. They blended together well, all matching, all hushed. She could feel the stranger still watching, and shivered. She didn't wonder why this stranger was leering, and she didn't particularly care. She was only bothered by it, and was sort of hoping he'd go away. She peeked back at him from over her shoulder, now clung to Syde's arm, and glared hatefully at him. "Why don't we go and do something else?" She looked up at Syde's face and steered him gently toward the exit. "Do you like coffee?"

He watched her expectantly for an answer, studying the shadows of her face while he waited. He noticed her staring towards the man, her bitter leer at him, and how her grip increased on his arm. His head tilted slightly, but it wasn't meant as a question he expected an answer to. ".. Alright." He smiled despite what a distraction the man was being to his new date. He shook his head at her next question, smiling. "Not really, no." He replied quietly. "Although, they often have Jones soda at the Starbucks down the street. We can go there and both be content if you wish." He suggested as they stepped out into the polluted night air. The man glaring at them ceased leaning against the wall, but didn't get any closer. Nor did he walk away, either.

"That sounds lovely." Her voice was soft, and her grip on his arm loosened as she took a casual look up the street. She flicked open her umbrella and rested it on her shoulder, her view of the theatre and everyone in it, blocked. Her face was now completely shadowed, the streetlights only making a vague outline of her cheek and nose. She relaxed, her gaze automatically back up and studying Syde's face. Her arm unhooked and her small hand curled its way back around his. She listened to the sounds of the city, her shoe clasps clicking quietly, the dirty city air moving through the dark concrete giants. "You're very quiet." She commented casually, not expecting an answer, just stating the obvious.

As they made their way towards the Starbucks, Syde's eyes wandered, as did his other senses. His hearing tuned in to the footsteps of those around the corner, while his olfactory sorted through the scents of people and the pavement and the buildings, and his eyes studied the environment carefully. He seemed distant once outside, lost in all he took in. He looked to Lily at her comment. It could be imagined that beneath his bangs he was blinking innocently, his head tilting just slightly. He then glanced behind them subtley, pretending to look at something to his side rather than the man following at a distance. His fingers carefully held Lily's hand, as if he were holding glass and afraid of breaking it, but his hand wasn't limp as before.

She rested her head against his shoulder, still looking up at him, carefully tracing the brim of his hat with her eyes. Her body was relaxed but her mind was left uneasy, and Mister Syde seemed to be lost in his own thoughts and observations. She hummed to herself, then sang softly, "Sur le pont d'Avignon, L'on y danse, l'on y danse. Sur le pont d'Avignon, L'on y danse tous en rond" her voice nearly inaudible, frail, but sweet. She swayed slightly, her movement in time with the song.
