[AIIIEEEE! -shot for being inactive- I've been so unbelievably annoyingly busy..liek, srsly DDDD8 I'm okay, now though. ] Lily listened, relieved that the silence was broken, even if Mister Syde was now being quite frightening. "Superstitious...out of character...Dancing in the street for a moment, then tried and hung by the neck until dead, because you were possessed by the devil himself..." Lily said softly thinking out loud. The whole thought of the English hanging one another for silliness was very funny. She smiled resting her arms on the table, and leaning forward. "...How dreadful...I was born and raised in France." she added, going off on a tangent. "A pig-headed lot there....blah blah, not impressed by anything that isn't French, you know, such silly pride for nothing...I never understood that..." [-shot again-]

( At least you came back. ) He tilted his head slightly at her muttered comment that seemed more to herself than anyone. He smiled - less eerily - as she spoke of her origins. "The English are sort of like that too, though maybe not quite to such a degree. I was in France once, for a little while." He paused thoughtfully. ".. Most are nice enough to your face. But when they speak in their own tongue, if they're unaware you know it, they can make some considerably offensive remarks." He chuckled at the memory. "Quite the way with insults, they are..." He stretched in his seat a little, briefly wondering what time it was but deciding that neither of them really cared.

[yaharrgh! o3o]
"Ahh, yes. It seems to be an odd nature a lot of people seem to share, Sit pretty and smile, and later call you the dreaded crotch dropping of a she-dog." She grinned, recalling the remark from her dear nanny who had long since passed away. She didn't ask who her nan was talking about, it would've been rude, after all, she was meant to be seen and not heard. "Why did you go to France? I mean, what I've heard people say about it, nobody would want to go for a visit. 'Everyone there is stuck up' and things like that...Sure, there are people like that, but aren't there people like that everywhere?"

He thought for a moment, then shrugged. "I don't know. When you have the time and money I do, I suppose it's easy to just wander about like that. Go anywhere on a whim, really... I guess it was a 'why not?' sort of thing." He smiled. "Why did you come here?" He asked quietly, leaning his elbows on the table, lacing his fingers together and resting his chin on them. ( Short. -running out of ideas besides conversation.- )
